With the noble objective of environmental protection and fostering a “Green Revolution,” the Roopantar Foundation has been conducting an intensive tree-planting campaign for the past two years. The primary goal of this project is to cultivate environmental awareness among children through the medium of schools, aiming to combat global issues like global warming and ensure that future generations are provided with clean air and water.
The core aim of this campaign is not merely to plant saplings, but to create a long-term environmental impact through sustainable conservation. The project focuses on expanding green cover to increase oxygen levels in schools and public spaces, while fostering a deep connection with nature among students by bringing the slogan “One Child, One Tree” to life. Furthermore, it strives to restore environmental balance as a natural defence against rising temperatures, irregular rainfall, and pollution, while simultaneously protecting biodiversity by creating natural habitats for wildlife, birds, and insects.

Success and Statistical Data
Over the past two years, this campaign has successfully expanded beyond urban limits to reach the rural grassroots level. A total of approximately 19,000 saplings were planted across various regions. In terms of the survival and success rate, 8,700 saplings are thriving in Ahmedabad and its surrounding areas, while another 1,300 saplings have been successfully sustained in the Palanpur and Halol regions. Collectively, more than 10,000 trees are now flourishing and moving steadily toward becoming grand, mature trees, marking a significant milestone in our environmental mission.
